The Banks and SME Expo Guinea (hereinafter 'we', 'our', 'us') is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its website, participants, exhibitors, and any individual whose personal data we process. 1. Data Controller
The data controller for personal data is the Permanent Secretariat of the Banks and SME Expo Guinea, represented by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts of Guinea (CCIAG). 3. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data for the following purposes: (1) managing registrations and participation in the event — contractual basis; (2) sending event-related information (program, reminders, changes) — legitimate interest; (3) improving our website and services — legitimate interest; (4) complying with our legal and regulatory obligations — legal obligation; (5) with your consent, sending marketing communications and newsletters — consent. In accordance with Guinean Law No. 2015/019/AN on the protection of personal data and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European residents, we ensure that each processing activity is based on a valid legal basis.
4. Data Retention Period
We retain your personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Registration data is retained throughout the duration of the event and up to three (3) years thereafter for follow-up and statistical purposes. Browsing data is retained for a maximum period of thirteen (13) months. Accounting and tax data is retained in accordance with the legal obligations in force in the Republic of Guinea.
5. Data Recipients and Sharing
Your data may be shared with: (a) the co-organizers of the event (CCIAG, APB, APIMG); (b) our technical and service providers (hosting, payment platform, email delivery) who act as data processors and are bound by strict contractual confidentiality clauses; (c) administrative and judicial authorities when required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze website traffic, and personalize content. We undertake to respond within one (1) month. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority of Guinea.
